The Z890 Gaming X WiFi7 is Gigabyte's entry-level Z890 gaming ATX board, offering the full overclocking capability of the Z890 chipset at a lower price than the Aorus Elite. The 16+1+2 phase VRM with Thermal Armor Advanced and dual 8-pin CPU connectors provides solid power delivery for Core Ultra Series 2 processors. USB4 Type-C on the rear panel delivers 40Gbps data transfer and DisplayPort Alt Mode — note this is USB4, not Thunderbolt 4. Two internal Thunderbolt AIC connectors allow adding a Thunderbolt expansion card. Four M.2 slots cover all NVMe storage needs with EZ-Latch Plus for tool-free installation. Note that the rear video output is DisplayPort only — the HDMI port is an internal Sensor Panel Link connector for in-chassis display panels. MediaTek MT7925 Wi-Fi 7 module provides 2.4/5/6GHz wireless. AORUS AI SNATCH provides AI-assisted auto-overclocking. Q-Flash Plus enables BIOS updates without a CPU installed.
