The Ryzen 7 9850X3D combines AMD's Zen 5 architecture with 3D V-Cache technology, stacking 64MB of additional SRAM on top of the 32MB standard L3 cache for a total of 96MB. This delivers the IPC improvements of Zen 5 alongside the cache-intensive gaming advantages of 3D V-Cache. Unlike previous X3D processors, the 9850X3D supports overclocking via Precision Boost Overdrive and Curve Optimizer. A liquid cooler is recommended due to the 120 W TDP. Compatible chipsets include A620, B650, B650E, X670, X670E, X870, X870E, B840 and B850.
